Is chiropractic care important after a car accident?

Car accidents can result in a range of injuries, including:

  • Damage to the spine, neck, or head

  • Traumatic brain injury

It’s recommended to have each case evaluated by a specialist in order to detect any issues early on.

Whiplash Syndrome

This condition often begins within the first few days after the injury. It may include:

  • Neck: Pain and stiffness, pain that worsens with movement, reduced range of motion

  • Headaches that typically start at the base of the skull

  • Tenderness or pain in the shoulders, upper back, or arms

  • Fatigue

  • Dizziness

In some cases, symptoms may also include: ringing in the ears (tinnitus), difficulty sleeping or depression, irritability, blurred vision, trouble concentrating, and memory problems.

What if I don’t feel any pain right after the accident?

Injuries from car accidents can take hours, days, or even weeks to show symptoms. These are known as delayed-onset injuries.
Some examples include internal bleeding, whiplash, concussions, and herniated discs.

It is recommended to visit a specialist for a thorough evaluation
